The most critical part of rotor machining is milling spiral grooves and grinding spiral grooves. The combination of the two is a method commonly used at home and abroad in recent years, which is conducive to improving processing efficiency. Spiral groove milling is milling with a shaped disc milling cutter. In addition to the requirements for the transmission accuracy and rigidity of the machine tool itself, suitable rotor milling cutters become a key factor for the production of large quantities of rotors. The design of the rotor milling cutter must not only meet the basic principles of tool design, but also meet the processing requirements of the profile. When designing the tool profile based on the theoretical profile, the points with interference, reciprocation, over-cutting and sharp points should be corrected, and the original rotor profile coordinates should be adjusted to facilitate the implementation of the process, while meeting the performance requirements of the compressor.
