The working principle of the oil and gas separator

The oil and gas separation element is the key component that determines the compressed air quality of the air compressor. The high-quality oil and gas separation element can not only ensure the high efficiency of the compressor, but also the life of the filter element can reach thousands of hours. The compressed air from the compressor head entrains oil droplets of various sizes. Large oil droplets are easy to separate when passing through the oil and gas separation tank, while small oil droplets (suspended oil particles below 1um in diameter) must be filtered through the micron and glass fiber filter layer of the oil and gas separation filter (compressed air distributor).

The oil particles are directly intercepted by the filter material through the diffusion effect of the filter material, and the inertial collision aggregation mechanism makes the suspended oil particles in the compressed air quickly condense into large oil droplets. Under the action of gravity, the oil collects at the bottom of the oil core and passes through the bottom. The inlet of the oil return pipe in the recess returns to the lubricating oil system of the machine head, so that the compressor discharges more pure and oil-free compressed air. The solid particles in the compressed air pass through the oil core and stay in the filter layer, which causes the pressure difference (resistance) of the oil core to increase continuously. Repair of Piston Rod of Air Compressor

If the wear of the piston rod is due to the large amount of wear of the cylinder and the piston, or the center line of the cylinder does not coincide with the center line of the base, the method of repairing the piston rod can be used to eliminate the above reasons and solve the leakage of the packing. The steps are as follows :

(1) Disassemble and clean the oil on the packing;

(2) Check the inner surface of the ring that is directly attached to the surface of the piston rod; if there is a scratched surface on the surface, trim it according to the piston rod;

(3) If the working part of the piston rod is large (greater than 0.5 mm), the piston rod needs to be turned and ground;

(4) If there are scratches, abrasions, etc. on the surface of the piston rod, it can be trimmed and ground manually with a file;

(5) Scrape by applying red lead method to make the ring fit with the working surface of the piston rod;

(6) Pre-assemble the stuffing box at the inactive part of the piston rod or on a special mandrel. During pre-assembly, find out the mating condition of the stuffing box parts.
