In the oil injected screw compressor, while compressing the gas, a large amount of oil is injected into the inter tooth volume of the compressor. After the same compression process, the oil-gas mixture formed by the oil and compressed gas is discharged into the oil-gas separator of the unit for oil-gas separation. Oil gas separator is one of the main equipments in the system of oil injection screw compressor. In order to reduce the oil content in the exhaust gas of the unit and recycle the lubricating oil in the unit, the oil-gas separator must be used to effectively separate the lubricating oil from the gas.
After entering the oil drum, the oil-gas separator first carries out rough separation and mechanical collision separation, which means that the oil-gas mixture will be separated from the larger particle oil drops in the mixture and fall into the bottom of the oil-gas separator under its own gravity or the centrifugal force generated by the intake pipe and the built-in accessories of the oil-gas separator Separation is the process of oil droplets gathering and then separating. It means that the mixture of oil droplets enters the filter element of the oil-gas separator at a slow speed, and the larger diameter oil droplets are filtered out on the surface of the filter element first. The smaller diameter oil droplets are conglomerated into larger diameter oil droplets after entering the filter element, and fall into the bottom of the oil-gas separator under the action of self gravity. The oil-gas separator is the comprehensive effect of the above two-stage separation method. The mechanical separation is primary separation, and the filter element separation is secondary separation.
The internal gas path structure of the oil-gas separation barrel is directly related to the primary separation effect. Today, the tangential inlet and cyclone oil-gas separation barrel widely used in the market are discussed. A separator is arranged in the barrel, and the oil-gas mixture rotates along the channel between the barrel and the separator to form centrifugal force, so as to achieve the purpose of one-time separation. The separator is directly welded on the wall of the equipment flange of the oil-gas separator. An oil-gas separation filter element for secondary separation is installed in the separator. In a word, the separator is generally set on the upper part of the oil-gas separator. Because the oil-gas mixture is far away from the oil surface, it is generally more than 300 mm, so the separation effect can be improved.
