Oil gas separator is one of the main equipments in the system of oil injection screw compressor. In order to reduce the oil content in the exhaust gas of the unit and recycle the lubricating oil in the unit, the oil-gas separator must be used to effectively separate the lubricating oil from the gas.
After entering the oil drum, the oil-gas separator first carries out rough separation and mechanical collision separation, which means that the oil-gas mixture will be separated from the larger particle oil drops in the mixture and fall into the bottom of the oil-gas separator under its own gravity or the centrifugal force generated by the intake pipe and the built-in accessories of the oil-gas separator Separation is the process of oil droplets gathering and then separating. It means that the mixture of oil droplets enters the filter element of the oil-gas separator at a slow speed, and the larger diameter oil droplets are filtered out on the surface of the filter element first. The smaller diameter oil droplets are conglomerated into larger diameter oil droplets after entering the filter element, and fall into the bottom of the oil-gas separator under the action of self gravity. The oil-gas separator is the comprehensive effect of the above two-stage separation method. The mechanical separation is primary separation, and the filter element separation is secondary separation.
