Oil-injected screw compressor shaft seal

There are two different shaft seals in oil-injected screw compressors: ①The shaft seal of the rotor shaft section adjacent to the compression chamber, especially at the exhaust end, which is more important; ②Extends out of the compressor end cover The shaft section must also have a shaft seal to isolate it from the atmosphere. Due to the different compression medium and allowable working conditions, the shaft seals of oil-injected screw air compressors are quite different from those of screw refrigeration and process compressors.

Most oil-injected screw air compressors use rolling shaft seals. In order to prevent the gas in the compression chamber from leaking out through the rotor shaft, a shaft seal must be installed between the rotor working section and the bearing at the exhaust end. This kind of shaft seal can be made very simple, as long as a specific oil groove is opened in the body corresponding to the shaft journal, and a certain pressure of sealing oil is passed in, an effective axial seal can be achieved. The axial length of the shaft seal should be as short as possible, so that the bearing is as close as possible to the working ton of the rotor, and the rigidity of the rotor is improved. When the screw compressor is working normally, there is almost no pressure difference between the rotor working section at the suction end and the bearing. When the air volume of the compressor is adjusted by means of suction throttling, there is only a possibility of burping atmospheric pressure here. Differential pressure.
